Officially Employed

Yes! Tomorrow will be my first day of work and officially employed in a well-known banking company. I'm a bit excited and at the same time nervous of what is in store for me in terms of the people I'll be working with, the culture and new environment and of course, the work itself. But thinking of it all, I can say I'm very ready and willing to give my time and effort for this. 

I've been unemployed for almost 4 months and I can say it's not enjoyable at all. For those months, it'd made me realize how necessary work is, not just for earning per se, but because it should be part of everyone's life. Work gives discipline to life. Gaaaaaaah. So much for that philosophy-type-of-topic. HAHA! 

Don't worry guys I'm gonna blog tomorrow night what happened to me the whole day. 

Hopefully I could still have enough energy and working mind at that time. Sigh. Btw, I'm planning to take a photo of the office and my workmates as well and post it here. Hmmm. 

Currently, I 'm listening to Jessie J's song "Domino" thats been LSSing in my mind for few days now. Actually, I'm already a fan of her the day I heard of Price Tag, I swear the song was really good and addicting. So here's the official video, check em out!

Sunny Holiday

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! I'm back in posting and this time gonna post about yesterdays' hap. Since its freaking holiday, we decided to go far away from the city and that means- BEACH TIME. Actually, we had it planned since last year but unfortunately we have really a tight schedule so we made it happened on holiday. We had so much fun and felt like we own the place since there's only few goers at the that time. Hurray!

Friday the 13th

Today is Friday the 13th and most people have this superstitious mindset, if not all, that it'll gonna be a unlucky day which means something bad/ mishap may happen to them. But for me this day is an exception. It is a happy and grateful day indeed. I'm happy that I got something new to post now because lately I have been terribly sick and busy at the same time because of complying all the requirements I had with my new job. Yes!You heard it right. I have been unemployed for the past 4 months since the last time I had with my first job and it sucks. No money, a bit of social life but not frequent and bored to death. HAHA! Those 4 months!

Anyways, earlier this afternoon, I went to BDO Rizal branch to pass all my pre-employment requirements and signed a lot of forms like PhilHealth, Pag-ibig and some employment stuffs. Of course, I had to wear business attire and here's what I wore:

I got that white and black printed top last year when I visit Christmas bazaar with friends see here. What I really like about that top is it can be wear in any type of jeans. But because I had to go for a more formal and business matter, instead, I paired it with high-waist black slacks and 2-inches heels.

And oh, before I forgot, yesterday I had my medical examination. It includes Physical check-up, CBC, Drug test, Fecalysis (stool test), Urinalysis and X-ray. Yes, I had to pass all the test and thinking of it all, it scared me badly, so to speak, the CBC portion. Actually, it was my first time to take CBC and get the blood in the middle arm part. I have no phobia in regards to needles but at that time it was all opposite, I saw in my two clear eyes that quite long needle and the blood, mygosh! Hindi ko bet! Kaya yun pinikit ko nlng mata ko.HAHA! So when I got home, I took a photo myself. Remembrance kung ba ga?! It feels good anyway.

Sick Saturday

Unfortunately, my first Saturday of the year didn't went well. I stayed in the house for the whole day because I am terribly sick. Cough and colds plus slight fever. I keep on drinking a lot of fluids and eating less heavy meals just to feel a bit okay. I don't even know where I got the virus or is it just the effect of all the parties and hangovers I had last year. Hmmmm.  I hope it doesn't get worse before the week ends.

For the meantime, I want you guys to listen to this great song from The Script. I have been listening to this for the past couple of days already. One of my favorites from the band and swear, every time I hear this song, I feel emotional and sentimental. I don't know why. I love The Script. I love their music.

No Make-up, Please?

Ever since, I wasn't really good at putting makeup on or like to have it on my face either. I remember when I joined pageants in school (back in elementary years lol),

 I keep on saying "Konti lang please, light lang ok?" to the make-up artist. I feel like my face is a big canvass and all paints were mix together just to put color on my face. In addition, I really don't like my eyebrow thread. It freaks me out. HAHA!

When I reach college, I only use cheek and lip tint and eyelash curler just to brighten up my face. And that's all. No foundation, eyeliner, lipstick, eye pencil and the like. I believe that natural is still the best. A woman/girl is prettier even without any make-up on. But now that I am applying for companies, I am starting to learn how to put a little make-up on and bought basic must-haves such as foundation, mascara, lipstick and eyeliner. On that note, I realize that sometimes it's also good to find time and put extra effort to look pleasant and well-presentable not because we want people to adore us but because it really make us feel good about ourselves.

 Every year we always had this reunion and unfortunately not everyone had attend the said event. Maybe it was because of the place and the date as well. But all is well. Quality over quantity i guess. It was held in Kaputian, Samal last Dec. 30, 2011. It was an overnight stay and we all partied! Foods and drinks are  all over! I got to try frisbee and swear, I loved to do it over and over again! We also play the most famous "Pinoy Henyo" through Thea's phone (download app).

Even though, thea and I are the only girls in the group, I haven't encounter any dull moments with boys and I realize, it's good to mingle and be one "of the boys" sometimes.
